Getting to Oropi Bushlands Ltd
Oropi is south of the Tauranga CBD off state highway 29. Or alternately to the north of Rotorua following the Old Tauranga Road from Ngongotaha.
The farm bounders two roads (one at the top of the farm and another at the bottom). For shorter treks, 1-2 hours, we will leave from the top of the farm off Burd Road. For longer treks the bottom, McPhails Road.
Burd Road is on the left about 500mtrs up Mountain Road which in turn is 15 kms up Oropi Road. We are number 167, the last property on the road before the road name changes to Kaiawha Road. Our driveway features firstly pines then amazing natives before opening out onto dairy pasture.
McPhails Road is 14 kms up Oropi Road and the entrance is around 3 kms down the valley. The entrance gate is clearly marked with the sign 'Bushlands Gate 3'.
Allow half an hour driving time from the bottom of Oropi Road as both Burd Road and a small proportion of McPhails road are unsealed.
Unfortunately (or not) there is limited to no cellphone coverage on the property.
